Micro Habits ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Micro Habits mobile application handles your information.

TL;DR: Micro Habits is a privacy-first app. All your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share any of your personal information.

Information We Collect

The Micro Habits app collects only the information you directly provide:

• Habit Names: Custom text you enter when creating habits (e.g., "Drink water", "Exercise")
• Habit Settings: Frequency intervals you set for your habit reminders
• Task Records: Timestamps for when tasks are scheduled and completed

We do NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Device identifiers or IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Crash reports
• Any other personal or identifying information

How We Store Your Data

All data is stored locally on your device. The app uses a local SQLite database (micro_habits.db) that resides only on your phone or tablet.

• No cloud storage or remote servers
• No data synchronization across devices
• No backups to external services
• Data is protected by your device's built-in security features

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do NOT share any data with third parties.

• No analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising networks

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

Notifications

Used to send you habit reminders at the times you configure. You can grant or deny this permission, though the app's core functionality relies on being able to send notifications.

Android-Specific Permissions:

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows the app to restore scheduled notifications after your device restarts
• WAKE_LOCK: Ensures notifications can wake your device when due

All permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and no data is transmitted externally.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until:

• You uninstall the app (which removes all local data)
• You manually delete individual habits within the app
• You clear the app's data through your device settings

Important: Because all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app will permanently delete all your habits and progress. There is no way to recover this data.

Children's Privacy

Micro Habits does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages because it only stores user-generated habit names locally on the device.

Security

Your data is secured by your device's operating system security features. Since no data is transmitted over the internet or stored on external servers, there is no risk of data breaches from our end.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
